Young life thrives off the generosity of its community and volunteer leaders. It is fully funded by the area and it takes all hands on deck to make the greatest impact. Whether you can become a leader, join committee, are a current parent or a Young Life Alumni, we want to connect with you! You can meet a need or join a team!
Leaders are committed to being involved with kids' lives -- from supporting them at their sporting events to listening to them talk about what's important to them. Our leaders help kids consider the direction of their lives, and they offer hope for their future.
Young Life doesn’t start with a program. It starts with adults concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. These relationships don’t happen overnight — they take time, patience, trust and consistency. Young Life leaders log many hours — where they are, as they are. We listen to their stories and learn what’s important to them because we genuinely care about their joys, triumphs, heartaches and setbacks. We believe in the power of presence. Kids’ lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God’s love with them.
Young Life committees are the lifeline for Young Life in the local area. The committee is a group of local adults who care about kids and are committed to Young Life's mission to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. Committee is also active in supporting the local Young Life ministry by fundraising, securing administrative resources and encouraging staff. This team requires 5-10 hours a month, depending on role.
